He was defeated by the pirate crew and their new friend after he attempted to steal back the Luxbris pearl Jay had taken from his office, being brought before the island's people and his true colors revealed by his prior prisoner until he was dogpiled by the entire audience. Eventually, though, his actions and imprisonment of La Alma were put to an end by the Albatrio after they learned of his unethical management and tricks. The most another person knew was Wimfrey, the Ticketmaster, who even then only knew that The Barron was a bit of a shady guy. He (The Barron) had poisoned the champion that came before La Alma and threatened to frame the other Tabaxi if he tried to leave Joaldo Island.Īll of this was done without the knowledge of the tournament participants, regular citizens of the island, audience members, and even other workers within the Paramount Tournament. During this period, he kept La Alma in a small room with the bare necessities for survival beneath the tournament stadium, forcing the now former champion to attack losing teams as seen in his and Chip's first encounter in episodes #32-33. It's uncertain where he came from before the events of the Paramount Tournament, though it's safe to assume his shady business had been in action at least ever since La Alma's first win, so around 5-7 years before the Albatrio's arrival on Joaldo. Before the final matches between the remaining pirate team and the champion, The Barron would give them a deal and a large sum of money if they intentionally lost the battle to let the champion win once again. Unaware to the island's people and some tournament participants, The Barron tends to rig the tournament in favor of the champion- Most notably, this champion having been La Alma. He manages the champion of the tournament and serves as a commentator when the matches are in session, and may also be the head of the island itself though this is never officially disclosed. The Barron is the official and popular announcer of the Paramount Tournament, a yearly held series of matches and games between different pirate teams on outlaw land known as Joaldo Island. He keeps this form until his disappearance at the end of the Paramount arc. At this point he becomes a black and orange calico whose suit is dark red and sparkly, with a light blue tie and a tall tophat on his head. During the matches of the Paramount Tournament though, his form changes. He wears a fancy and finely made black suit with a tucked in red tie, and he speaks in a heavy accent. Global Culture – Live, Relax, Care - it’s the way we live.In our first introduction of The Barron, he is a slender male Tabaxi who is shorter than average and has a calico pattern. If you get a great opportunity make the most of it and give it a go. A great philosophy to pass on to your kids. Get given the chance don’t over think it just “Roll with it”. We thought his story and the bike he chose made a great front wheel for our print. For us at Global Culture it is “the way we live” and Shawn Mohar exemplified that in his selection of that rare bike and then riding it as it was designed to be ridden. Global Culture has been about sharing an outlook on life for a long time. After enjoying a slice of heaven, it was time for him to come back down to earth. At the end of the ride parking the bike and pulling the key, he closed his eyes for one brief moment. No amount of rain could dampen his experience. ![]() Only the task of returning such a perfect specimen in the same exact condition was considered as he tested every aspect of the bike on the Autobahns. ![]() It became his mission to enjoy the machine as it was meant to be enjoyed in 1951 not as an artifact. Motorcycling is a sport rewarded by persistence, and a die-hard tenacity to cover the miles planned. ![]() And so he set out on the road trip of a lifetime, to discover the winds of 1951 atop a classic BMW motorcycle all original, in mint condition. There was only one motorcycle on the list, and it stood out immediately. There were 7 models he was told he could choose from in the Museum including modern classics from 19. In July 2011 Shawn Mohar, a Canadian BMW Blogger, was given a rare opportunity to go to the BMW Museum in Munich and drive one of their classic vehicles. Don’t over think it just go with it. In searching for the bike image the artists tried to find something cool, but stumbled over a great story. So, the saying just roll with it for us is about dealing with and adapting to unexpected changes or challenges. In the case of a recent kids t-shirt the artists paired up a saying “Just roll with It” and the image of the front end of a motor bike. ![]() We look for the unexpected or the humorous in the marriage between those two elements. We look for a relevant saying and then pair it up with an image that gives it meaning. The challenge of creating art for our t-shirts is twofold.
